Find the Right Refrigerated Air Dryer for Your Operation

Refrigerated Dryer Selection Guide

Not every application requires the same dryer. Hankison's refrigerated dryer portfolio is engineered to match your air quality requirements, operating conditions, and efficiency goals, from everyday shop air to critical production environments.

Built to Handle Every Application

Hankison engineers refrigerated air dryers for the full range of industrial requirements, from everyday shop air to the most demanding production environments.

A small repair shop and a high-volume production facility don't have the same compressed air needs. That's why Hankison offers refrigerated compressed air dryers tailored to different applications, helping customers achieve reliable air quality, efficient operation, and dependable performance.

Why it matters

The right refrigerated dryer isn't the biggest or the most advanced. It's the one engineered for how, and where, your operation actually runs.

Value to Our Customer

Reliable moisture protection and cost conscious for everyday applications

Optimized dew point and continuous performance

Performance plus advanced energy management

Hankison's refrigerated dryer lineup is designed so that every application, from general-purpose shop air to critical, energy-intensive production, has a dryer built specifically for it. Three series make up the core of that lineup: VNCA, HPRB, and FLEX.

Each shares the same engineering standards Hankison customers rely on: low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, third-party safety certification, and construction built for real industrial environments. Where they differ is in exactly the areas that matter most when matching a dryer to an application.

EVERYDAY APPLICATIONS

VNCA Series

CRITICAL & ENERGY-INTENSIVE APPLICATIONS

FLEX Series

Best combination of compressed air performance, reliability, and energy savings.

The FLEX Series represents Hankison's most advanced refrigerated dryer technology. Utilizing Phase Change Material (PCM) thermal storage and intelligent cycling operation, FLEX adjusts refrigeration demand to match compressed air demand, maximizing energy efficiency while maintaining stable dew point performance. The result is superior air quality, enhanced system reliability, and lower operating costs.

FLEX also utilizes low-GWP refrigerant options, R513A and R454C, and is backed by published CAGI performance data sheets so engineers and specifiers can verify performance with confidence.

Understanding Pressure Dew Point

Pressure dew point (PDP) is the temperature at which moisture in compressed air begins to condense under system pressure. The lower the pressure dew point, the drier the air, and the more protection your system has against corrosion and contamination.

Refrigerated dryers typically deliver pressure dew points in the Class 4 to Class 6 range under ISO 8573-1, which is more than sufficient for the vast majority of industrial compressed air applications. Understanding where your operation falls on that spectrum is the first step in choosing the right dryer.

Built Around Lower-GWP Refrigerants

Across the VNCA, HPRB, and FLEX Series, Hankison has moved to refrigerants with a lower global warming potential, R513A across the line, and R454C as an additional option within FLEX. Each series is third-party certified to UL 60335-1, UL 60335-2-40, CSA 22.2 #60335-1, and CSA 22.2 #60335-2-40, so customers can adopt these newer refrigerants with confidence in both performance and safety.

This shift reflects a broader industry move away from higher-GWP refrigerants, in line with the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act, and it's happening across Hankison's entire refrigerated dryer lineup, not just a single model.

Hankison Has a Dryer Built for You

Whether your operation runs a single paint booth or a high-volume production floor, Hankison's refrigerated dryer lineup is intentionally built so there's a dryer engineered for exactly your application and needs.
